10 Minute Solution: Fat Blasting Dance Mix(Anchor Bay) 2006 What is it? Five quick, 10-minute long dance workouts that can be mixed and matched (do one, two or all of them). Two of the workouts include light toning for lower body and abs. Jennifer Galardi instructs. Who is it for? Beginning through intermediate level exercisers. You should have a flair for dance, as there's a lot of choreography — it's completely different in each of the workouts.
What to expect: This is a pretty straightforward group of 10-minute dance-inspired cardio routines. Jennifer Galardi has a knack for putting together a series of stylish steps that can still get your heart rate up, and she makes it fun without being annoying (judging from some other DVD instructors out there, this is easier said than done). The first 3 workouts are all cardio. The second and third, "Calorie Meltdown" and "Fat Burning Party" work you out the hardest. While the choreography isn't all that difficult, Galardi does throw a lot of moves your way, and she layers as she goes along, so it may take a few passes to get to the point where you're doing the steps right all the way through. (Even our expert had to rerun a number of these steps before getting them down!) The fourth segment, "Butt & Thigh Blaster," offers light toning for your lower body in a dance-based group of easy lunges and squats. The final segment, "Ab Attack," consists of standing abdominal exercises for a pleasant, although not overly challenging, workout. Like the other DVDs in the 10 Minute Solution series, you can program the workouts so that you can do one, two or more of them in any order you'd like.
