What is it?
Two 10-minute and two 20-minute mix-and-match beginners' cardio workouts. Petra Kolber instructs.
Who is it for?
This low-impact DVD is perfect for anyone who is new to exercise. If you can walk up and down the street, you can do the workouts on this DVD. If you're more advanced, you'll probably want something more intense.
What to expect:
If you have yet to get working on a workout program, here's the place to start. Veteran fitness pro Petra Kolber makes exercise easy and fun. There are four workouts on this DVD: two 10-minute workouts, one more athletic and one a little more dancey; and two 20-minute routines, one athletic and one dance. Don't worry about the choreography — Kolber keeps it simple with basic moves — step touches, hamstring curls, repeaters, grapevines, etc. But she also makes things interesting by adding a little flare here and there — some punches and low kicks on the athletic routines and some shoulder shakes and flourishes on the dance. The workouts are brief enough for newbies, and once you start gaining some endurance, you can program them so that you can do several of them for a longer workout (you can even do all of them for an hour's worth of exercise!). There's also a great 5-minute stretch, which is a refreshing add-on to any of the routines. This DVD will supply beginners with their indoor cardio for quite a long while.
