What is it?
A 50-minute cardio workout that contains easy Latin dance moves, Tai kickboxing and classic cardio. There's also a quickie abs workout. Lizbeth Garcia instructs.
Who is it for?
Beginning exercisers and up. The moves here are very easy to learn, so even those who are somewhat dance challenged should be able to master them. You'll want a mat for the ab workout, if you're on a hard surface.
What to expect:
Here's a workout that gives you a lot of variety without getting too complicated. Instructor Lizbeth Garcia starts you off with 10 minutes of spicy Latin steps, picks up the pace a notch with simple Tai kickboxing kicks and jabs and then finishes you up with 10 minutes of familiar cardio steps like grapevines and V-Steps in a segment called "Sweatshop." The routines are simple enough for most beginners to learn (even those who have trouble with choreography), and the intensity is good for those just getting back into fitness, or for those who are more experienced, but who want a lighter workout day. Garcia, with her infectious enthusiasm, makes each segment fun and her cueing is excellent. After a brief cool down and stretch, she also gives you a quick, 4-minute abdominal workout. If you want an enjoyable way to work up a sweat at a level that's not too hard and not too easy, then give this one a try.
