What is it?
A 47-minute cardio dance workout from Elle magazine.
Who is it for?
Beginning through advanced beginning exercisers. The moves are dancey, but not difficult and the intensity is about right for someone who has recently begun a fitness program.
What to expect:
Here's an easy cardio dance workout for women who are just getting back into an exercise routine. The instructor builds on basic, not-too-intense moves — grapevines, step-touches and the like — to create simple, choreographed routines that nearly anyone can learn without too much trouble. She also adds arm movements to add to the calorie burn, which can create a little extra challenge (don't worry — practice makes perfect). Because these moves are so easy, and the intensity is light, this routine is best for those just starting to get fit. Those who have been exercising for a while may find this one a little too easy. One note, however: while most exercise DVDs are right-dominant — you start most routines on your right foot — this one is left-dominant. So each set of moves begins with your left foot. This is actually a really good thing, since letting your left side lead occasionally will help you balance your body out a bit. And those who are naturally left-footed will enjoy doing what comes naturally. So even if you are an advanced beginner, you may want to add this one to your exercise DVD library, for a chance of pace.
