(Anchor Bay)
2006
What is it?
A 35-minute cardio dance workout that's built around just 10 easy-to-learn steps (in fact, there's an extra 10-minute instructional segment for the moves). Your leader is Michelle Dozois.
Who is it for?
Beginning through advanced beginning exercisers. The moves are stylish, but basic and if you've been doing cardio dance for any length of time, you've seen most of these steps before. The dance-challenged will really appreciate the 10-minute instructional segment — Dozois clearly breaks down the basics.
What to expect:
If you've ever shied away from cardio dance workouts because you believe you have two left feet... but you still secretly wish you could do them, then this may be the DVD you've been waiting for. The steps are both easy and fun, and Michelle Dozois is an excellent instructor. Her cueing is on the money and she makes the workout lots of fun. While the steps are all basic, that doesn't mean they're boring — anything but! There are 3 different routines, each with a different focus — sexy, hip-shaking moves, Latin groove, and stylish Jazz. If these moves are hard for you to grasp during the routine, there is a 10-minute step guide in which Dozois leads you more slowly through each step. This DVD gives you every opportunity to learn some fun dance moves. If you're pretty good at picking up steps, you'll probably enjoy doing this workout all the way through the first time. If you need some help, it's there for you. Either way, you get a half-hour of moderate cardio exercise that'll put a smile on your face.
