Trainer's Edge: Fiesta Fitness Dance(Koch Vision) 2006 What is it? A 40-minute cardio dance workout featuring different Latin styles, including salsa, mambo, merengue, samba and more. Giselle Roque de Escobar instructs. Who is it for? Advanced beginning through intermediate exercisers. While the impact is low, there are a lot of steps to learn, and not all of them are particularly intuitive (unless you do a lot of Latin dance already). So it may take you a while to get comfortable with the choreography.
What to expect:If you're looking for an energetic take on Latin dance for a cardio workout, here's a spicy 40-minute workout that will make your heart beat a little faster. The vivacious Giselle Roque de Escobar (of Zumba and Crunch: Cardio Salsa fame) leads you through quick series of steps that take you on a tour of Latin American dance styles. You get a taste of salsa, mambo, merengue, samba, and even Afro-Caribbean moves. Giselle gives you just enough time to learn each routine before moving onto the next one. You'll never get bored... but it may take you a few passes to learn these segments too. Although you don't need to be a Latin dance expert to enjoy this workout, it's probably best for those who have some dance flair, and who pick up choreography fairly quickly.
