What is it?
A half-hour basic step aerobics workout for all body types.
Who is it for?
Beginning exercisers. The plus size instructor shows you that just about anyone can do step aerobics. You will need an aerobic step, of course.
What to expect:
Instructor/ creator Shannon Holand has put together what she calls the "first ever time-lapsed aerobic workout." In other words, this workout was shot over a period of weeks during which she was losing weight, so she shrinks as each segment goes by (in fact, she loses 60 pounds overall). The workout is divided into several parts — warm-up, 2 step segments, a cool down, stretch — and a few blissful minutes of relaxation too. While the production is clearly low budget (it looks like she shot it in her living room), this is actually part of its charm — you feel like you're working out with a friend, not some buff aerobics instructor, and Holand has a supportive attitude ("If I can do this, you can!"). The easy steps and short time frame (the whole routine is just a hair over 30 minutes) make this a great beginner's workout for every shape and size of exerciser.
