(Good Times)
2004
What is it?
A half hour cardio workout from Leslie Sansone that includes some basic kickboxing moves along with her usual easy-to-do steps.
Who is it for?
Beginning and older exercisers. It may help if you are familiar with some of Sansone's other workouts, but all the steps, including the kickboxing, are very simple.
What to expect:
Kickboxing workouts can be very intense and are generally best done by fit, experienced exercisers. But what if you're not in the best of shape, or if you're just getting into exercise? Leslie Sansone offers up a toned down version of kickboxing in this half-hour workout. After a quick warm-up, she alternates basic kickboxing moves with her famous "walking" steps — easy marches, side steps and hamstring curls. A brief cool down ends the routine. The kickboxing segments are only marginally more demanding than Sansone's usual moves, so most beginners will be able to do this routine. As usual, you get Sansone's chipper personality while you're revving up your heart into the fat-burning zone. Those who enjoy her 2, 3 or 4-mile walks and like knowing how far they've gone may be disappointed because they're not told the "mileage." But anyone who wants a quick cardio workout with very simple, non-intimidating choreography will appreciate this DVD.
