What is it?
A 51-minute cardio dance workout, broken up into four 10-minute styles/ segments (the warm-up and cool down account for the rest of the time). Jennifer Galardi instructs.
Who is it for?
Advanced beginning through intermediate exercisers who enjoy dancing. The choreography takes a bit of practice, and you should consider that part of the fun — otherwise look for a less complicated workout.
What to expect:
Jennifer Galardi revs up your heart rate and gets your groove on with four very different dance styles: hip-hop, Latin, jazz and ballet. Even though there's a lot of footwork to learn, Galardi makes it fun with her sincere enthusiasm, and her cueing is spot-on to help you get the steps down. That said, don't expect to perform the routines perfectly the first time you do this workout. Even the most accomplished cardio dancer will need a few passes to learn them. Some exercisers who aren't so fast on their feet may be frustrated, but Galardi does make it as easy as possible. The first three routines are pure cardio dance; the fourth segment — ballet — is a light lower body toning routine that is done barefoot. (Don't worry — you won't have to put your workout shoes back on for the cool down — you can do it with or without shoes.) You can do one, two, three or all four routines, depending on your schedule and energy level. This is a very enjoyable workout and highly recommended for those who love to dance.
