What is it?
A two-disc set containing two Yoga Booty Ballet Workouts — "Light & Easy" and "Latin Flavor" — each around 38 minutes long. As with all the Yoga Booty Ballet workouts, your instructors are Gillian Marloth and Teigh McDonough.
Who is it for?
Beginning and advanced beginning exercisers. These are light workouts that most people will be able to do. They are a little dancey, but the choreography is simple. The "Light & Easy" segment uses an optional "squishy ball" that you can order for free with the coupon code in the DVD booklet. Both workouts use a mat for part of the routine. Shoes are optional.
What to expect:
If you've done any of the other Yoga Booty Ballet workouts, you know what to expect — a little Yoga, a little ballet, and lots of easy, booty-moving choreography. The workouts on these 2 DVDs are no exception. On both, you start off with an "intention" — a quick meditation to set your goal for the workout. Then after a warm-up, Gillian Marloth and Teigh McDonough lead you through a little over 15 minutes' worth of easy, but fun dance steps that you can do either barefoot or wearing athletic shoes. Then you practice some ballet moves to lightly tone your lower body. Both workouts end with a cool down. "Light and Easy" is filled with fun, graceful cardio moves and makes use of the "squishy ball" for some abdominal exercises, while "Latin Flavor," naturally, contains more of a Latin feel. These are pleasant workouts for most fitness levels (you can see a variety of body types in the Yoga Booty Ballet "class"). Beginners will definitely raise their heart rates, but these workouts may be a little too easy for intermediate exercisers. The Yoga Booty Ballet workouts are fun, and great for those who want to start an exercise program without feeling like they're working at working out.
