I bought this mat about a year and a half ago and love it! It is very thick, which makes it much more comfortable than thinner mats. It is also very sturdy, which makes it a lot better for balancing poses than the typical squishier yoga mats. Rating: - A great mat for a serious yoga practice.
I have never used a better mat. The "Manduka Black Mat" is stable, well made and offers a solid base on carpet and hard floors. After going through several "ECO" mats, I have come to the realization that it is better to own a mat that will last forever than to continually waste precious resources on mats that end up in the landfill after several months.

I debated about this mat for some time. I'm an avid practitioner, and in five years of religious practice, the Manduka mat was my fourth mat purchased.
