Jillian Michaels, the trainer from NBC's The Biggest Loser and self-proclaimed "TV's toughest fitness guru," runs through circuit training like a drill sergeant on caffeine. Her theory is to keep moving in between exercises to burn twice as many calories, so she cycles her team through sumo squats, mountain climbers, jump ropes, shoulder raises and bicycle moves without taking a breath. If she doesn't think one of her comrades is picking up his knees high enough, she makes everyone do 30 more, with a sadistic grin. As a result, you can almost literally watch the muscle burn. Michaels' Shape-Up Front DVD works out the chest, shoulders, triceps and quads. It also requires two props: a bench-style exercise step and light dumbbells. - Looks like elementary school gym classSo boring. Kick to the front, kick to the back, do some jumping jacks. Reminds of elementary school the way this is done. No combination moves that you see in kickboxing- jab, knee, front kick, etc. If this was an unknown, it would not have made it into the marketplace. Avoid this only if you want something super easy. I'm glad I got it cheap.

- AN AWESOME WORKOUT THAT WILL KICK YOUR BUTT!I usually get bored or frustrated with videos. They are either too complicated or too dull. These dvd's kicked my butt from day one, and the moves aren't too complicated at all. The workouts are short, and results come quickly.

- Thanks Jillian!These workouts are hard and will give you your money's worth with great variety. It does require the step and weights listed and it's hard to get by without them, so I would recommend investing in a good quality step and a set of weights that suit you.

- Great, quick workout!I'm 31 and in decent shape. I broke my foot five months ago and just haven't gone back to the gym but wanted to do something active. I bought Jillian's DVD set in hopes that I could gain some of my tone back.
I am very surprised with the DVD's. I've bought exercise videos in the past and never get past a few days. Jillians workout is NOT for beginners. I use 3lb weights and after three weeks I'm moving up to 5lbs in some of the exercises.
