What is it?
A 30-minute Yoga-based, mind-body workout from Kathy Smith (actually culled from two of her other videos, New Yoga, and New Yoga Basics). An audio cassette is also included — it contains two 15-minute guided relaxations.
Who is it for?
This gentle routine is appropriate for nearly everyone who knows something about Yoga. A strap and folded blanket are used in the workout.
What to expect:
Kathy Smith has taken the most relaxing poses from her two videos, New Yoga, and New Yoga Basics to create a shorter, half-hour workout that focuses on your neck, shoulders, back and hamstrings — areas that tend to hold the most tension. It starts off with some standing postures, but most of the routine is floor work. Modifications are shown for those who are less flexible. If you already have the two Yoga workouts that make up this routine, you will probably want to give this one a pass, but those who don't have them will enjoy this calming set of postures. (This routine is also shorter than the other videos.) The guided relaxations on the audio cassette are nice, and help to add some value.
