Who is it for?
Anyone who’s stressed out, or wants to avoid becoming stressed out. This pretty much includes everyone.

What to expect:
These days there are few of us who aren’t suffering from some form of stress. And we’ve all heard about the negative effects that stress has on our health. It’s well known that meditation is a great stress reliever, but it is rare that a meditation program is created especially to help people deal with stress and change. Jyotish Novak, the Spiritual Director of Ananda and a renowned meditation expert, has created a video for just that purpose. Novak divides this brief (36 minute) video into four sections — in the first he offers some good, practical advice on how to deal with stress in your daily activities (a lot of it has to do with the way you look at the circumstances in your life). Part two is a guided visualization which essentially helps you to accept life’s turmoil and its ever-changing nature. Section three involves a simple breathing exercise that helps your mind become still — it’s a classic and very effective meditation technique. In Part four, Novak demonstrates a couple of calming techniques to use when you are feeling overwhelmed. This is a simply-made, highly practical video with no filler. Instead of hiding skimpy information with high production values, this video takes extremely worthwhile information and presents it clearly and concisely. A great meditation primer for anyone who prizes substance over flash.
