What is it?
Four 15-minute routines that are a Pilates-Yoga style blend (not a traditional Pilates workout). Each segment targets a different body part — legs, arms, buns and abs. Elizabeth Young instructs.
Who is it for?
Experienced exercisers — many of these moves are a lot tougher than they look! All you really need is a towel for some of the exercises, and a mat if you're working out on a hard surface.
What to expect:
If you're concerned that a Pilates-Yoga workout might not be hard enough for you, play this DVD and prepare to be challenged! These workouts build strength, balance, flexibility and coordination all at the same time. The most demanding are the legs and buns routines. These gracefully-moving exercises definitely fatigue your lower body muscles. Not quite as effective is the arms routine — unless you're doing push-ups, it's hard to work the upper body without weights. The addition of some dumbbell moves would have helped. The abs routine is good as long as your adhere to strict form — stop pulling that belly button towards your spine and you'll lose a lot of the benefit.

For the record, these exercises are a creative blend of Yoga, Pilates and dance movement (as are most Method workouts). They're neither traditional Yoga nor Pilates. If you're a purist you'll have to look elsewhere. If you just want a really good workout — especially for your lower body — then you'll find it here.
