2006
What is it?
Seventy minutes of ballet, Yoga and Pilates-inspired toning, broken up into 12–20 minute chunks. Tracey Mallett instructs.
Who is it for?
Intermediate exercisers. Not all mind-body style workouts are easy, and this one has some pretty challenging moments! You will need a sturdy chair and a mat.
What to expect:
This creative fusion of several different mind-body exercise styles may look easy, but these moves are in reality quite challenging and take loads of control. After a 7-minute warm-up, instructor Tracey Mallett gives you 15 minutes of ballet bar exercises (you don't need a real ballet bar — the moves are shown utilizing a sturdy chair). Then there's a short power Yoga session before Mallett offers up an abs and buns workout that will require all the flexibility and muscle you have. She finishes up with upper body sculpting that concentrates on building strength in your back, improving your posture and toning your shoulders and triceps. Even though none of these segments require weights, they are beautifully engineered to sculpt your body from head to toe. If you're surprised at the muscles that are sore the next day, like your inner thighs, abs and upper arms, don't say we didn't warn you! But it'll be that good kind of sore, that indicates you are on your way to getting real results.
