Yoga Fusion: Power(Artisan) 2001 What is it? A 45-minute workout that blends Pilates, Tai Chi, ballet and basic Power Yoga moves. Who is it for? Exercisers who are already familiar with Pilates and Yoga — there really is no detailed instruction on the specific moves.
What to expect: Those who want to work up a sweat and gain some flexibility will probably enjoy this video, providing that they already know the proper form for Yoga and Pilates. Yoga practitioners who love its serenity and Pilates enthusiasts who are sticklers for detail will not be thrilled with this tape — instructor Teigh McDonough doesn't go into the particulars with the moves and runs you through this vinyasa-style workout without a lot of information. There are modifications shown, but this isn't really a workout for the inexperienced, or for those with flexibility issues. This video is for those who are already fairly fit and flexible and who know their way around a mat. Those viewers won't learn anything new (especially if they've been doing the Method videos, which are similar, only better), but it is a bit different from the other mind-body exercise videos out there. Even though it's not terribly enlightening, it can be pleasant and energizing change from the norm. Some DVDs that may interest you:
