What is it?
Three 10-minute Pilates sessions on one tape.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to fit a Pilates session into a very short pocket of time. Best if you are already at least somewhat familiar with Pilates basics.
What to expect:
Although health professionals are now insisting that we fit a full hour of exercise into our busy days, the bottom line is: who's got a full 60 minutes to spare? Perhaps if you can break that time into short chunks, however, it may actually start adding up. This tape gives you a quick Pilates fix in ten minutes — or, if you have a whole half-hour to spare, you can do all three programs back-to-back. Since the host is Tracy York, you are getting quality instruction — before the three sessions, York explains the principles behind Pilates, and her directions are helpful and precise. Modifications are also shown for the less flexible. This tape is best, of course, if you already practice Pilates on a regular basis — ten minutes isn't enough time to coach a complete novice through the moves. The nice thing about these ten-minute Pilates bytes is that they leave you wanting more, so next time you may want to block out enough time for a full Pilates session!
