What is it?
A 28-minute beginning Pilates workout, taught by Rael Isacowitz.
Who is it for?
Pilates beginners and advanced beginners. Even if you've been practicing Pilates for a few weeks or months, you'll learn a lot from this routine — and get a great workout besides!
What to expect:
Rael Isacowitz is one of the most respected instructors in the very exacting Pilates community. This is a man who teaches teachers and who has earned a worldwide reputation as a leader in his field. So does this mean that a mere beginner's workout won't do Isacowitz justice? Just the opposite! Isacowitz leads this short series of Pilates moves with enthusiasm, precision and power — you couldn't hope for a better introduction to Pilates on a DVD. And in addition to learning the moves the right way, you also get one heck of a workout — even those who think their core is already pretty strong will be crying "Uncle!" at certain points in this routine. Sure, you may have done these moves during other programs taught by other instructors, but you've never done them the Isacowitz way. The routine may be simple, but it will help you realize good form and achieve great results. Even if you've been doing Pilates at home for a while with other DVDs, you will definitely want to add this one to your collection. It'll do wonders for your Pilates practice overall.
