What is it?
Five 10-minute workouts using a fitness ball. Each one has a different focus - upper and lower body toning, abs, cardio and stretching. Kimberly Spreen instructs.
Who is it for?
Intermediate exercisers - these workouts are short in time and long on challenge! It helps if you already have some fitness ball experience to get the most out of these workouts. You will need a fitness ball (of course), light to medium dumbbells (2 to 8 pounds), depending on your strength level, and a mat if you are working out on a hard surface.
What to expect:
Here are a series of five quick workouts that are a lot tougher than they appear! Kimberly Spreen has crafted creative moves that use a fitness ball to tone your body and burn fat. "Butt and Thigh Tone-Up" zeros in on your glutes and hamstrings until you beg for mercy, and "Arm and Shoulder Sculptor" does the same thing for your upper body (this is the segment where you will need the weights). "Firm, Flat Abs" is a core routine that makes very effective use of the ball, and "Total Body Fat Burner" is a fun routine that has you playing with the ball while you're raising your heart rate. The DVD finishes off with "Ultra Stretch," a flexibility routine that uses the ball to deepen the stretches. As with all the 10 Minute Solution DVDs, this one is programmable - you can do just one 10-minute segment, pick out two or three, or even do all of them in any order you wish, for a full 50 minute exercise session that you will definitely feel the next day.
