(Anchor Bay)
2006
What is it?
Two sculpting workouts, about 20-minutes each. The first one is for the lower body; the second zeroes in on your upper body. Kendell Hogan instructs.
Who is it for?
Advanced beginning through intermediate exercisers. You will need 2 to 5 pound weights and a mat. (Beginners may want to give this DVD a try with no weights.)
What to expect:
These two routines give you great, targeted workouts in limited time. The first puts the moves on your lower body and the second offers upper body exercises. Both workouts are based on traditional moves like squats, lunges, deadlifts, flies and curls. Everyone knows how effective these classic exercises are, of course, but it takes more to keep you coming back to a DVD over and over again. And Crunch: Total Resculpt has a not-so secret weapon in that regard: instructor Kendell Hogan. His likeable enthusiasm makes these workouts loads of fun, and he cheerfully encourages you to squeeze out that last rep even when it's killing you to do so. Because the moves are fast-paced, the workouts are best for those with at least a little bit of weight training experience. If you've had none however, don't let that discourage you — try running through this DVD a couple of times without weights so you can get the moves down, and then you'll be able to do them with dumbbells. You can choose to do one workout, or both — or if you want to really have a full-body workout, do the whole DVD and throw in your own 5 or 10-minute series of abdominal exercises. These routines will fit nicely into your schedule, even when time is tight, and Hogan's instruction will keep them fresh for a long time.
