What is it?
A 45-minute combination cardio and lower body workout.
Who is it for?
Intermediate exercisers who enjoy dancing and sweating.
What to expect:
Get ready to have fun! Instructor Donna Richardson makes the 43 minutes of this aerobic/ strength training routine fly by. With an infectious enthusiasm, she invites you to join her and her two "homegirls" (one of them is award-winning fitness pro Kelly Ryan) in this energetic workout. After a five-minute warm-up, Richardson gets it grooving with an energetic, slightly funky selection of aerobic moves. The three 6-minute routines are never basic or boring, but they're not all that hard to learn either — if you've ever gotten it down on the dance floor, you'll pick up Richardson's cues easily. Before you know it, you're done with the cardio and are moving onto a lower body strength-training session that requires no weights yet is surprisingly challenging. You will need a chair to help you balance for this set of lunges, kicks and plies (no floor work here), and you will work hard. It will definitely help tone your thighs. Richardson wraps it up with a 5-minute, yoga-based stretch that feels great. Although keeping fit is serious business, you certainly don't have to be serious while you're doing it. This tape will have you sweating with a smile on your face.
