What is it?
A 30-minute, high-impact, circuit training routine with a 15-minute bonus segment that uses light weights.

Who is it for?
Those who are young, healthy, have great knees and love to jump around.
What to expect:
One warning right off the bat: if you have bad knees, avoid this video at all costs! Its plyometric moves of scissor lunges, jumping jacks and the like will kill you. Plus many of the exercises illustrated in the 15-minute weight routine are done kneeling — also painful for those whose knees have seen better days. If you have the legs and joints to handle it, however — and if you love to move, but dislike those dancey aerobic videos — you will love this tape. There are six circuits consisting of two and a half minutes of aerobic activity — mostly intense athletic moves — and a minute and a half of strength training, mostly for the lower body. There is no equipment needed for these circuits — the strength training moves are classics like squats and push-ups. Light weights are needed for the 15-minute bonus section, which works the upper body and also includes some floor work for your abdominals. Minna Lessig is friendly and positive and, thankfully, not chirpy or bubbly. She’s a likable, sharp instructor and cues well. You don’t get any low-impact modifications, however — if you need ‘em, then this is not the tape for you! After jumping around and lunging and squatting for half an hour, you will really feel like you had a work out, and these classic moves, done properly, should give you results — which is why you’re working out to begin with, right? This is a fun, exhilarating workout, though not for everyone.
