What to expect: Ellen Barrett offers up some unique moves in this non-traditional sculpting workout. Sure, you'll find biceps curls, squats and pliés to tone your muscles, but you'll also be moving with dumbbells in a series of flowing movements that combine functional strength and grace. The workout totals a brief 30 minutes — not much time for a full body workout — but the combination of moves are designed to create muscle fatigue even though the weights are light. The first half of the routine focuses mostly on the upper body, while the lower half targets mainly legs and glutes. Both halves involve the core, but there's also the quickie 5-minute, Pilates-based "bonus" segment in case you want a more targeted abs workout. Even this short series of ab exercises involve unusual moves, and Barrett has you using your dumbbells for an extra-added oomph. This is a great workout for those who are pressed for time, and combined with a regular, fat-burning cardio routine, you'll no doubt see some nice results in 4 weeks, just as the cover promises.
