What is it?
Three boot camp-based 30-minute workouts — one is cardio, one is sculpting, and the third is a combination of both. You get three top notch instructors — Michelle Dozois, Lisa Wheeler and Tracy York.
Who is it for?
Intermediate exercisers — the moves are basic, but fast-paced and tough! There is an exercise band that comes with the DVD (if you are buying it new). In addition to that, you will need a pair of 3–5 pound dumbbells and an exercise mat.
What to expect:
If anyone believes it's impossible to pump out a really killer workout in just 30 minutes, these routines will be a real eye-opener (and muscle cruncher!). Each of these three segments will really make you sweat while building muscle power and endurance. They all have their own focus: the first workout contains very fast-paced cardio intervals that include basic, athletic moves like lunges, jacks and repeaters. Workout 2 is all about sculpting, and uses both the band and weights, but you will get your heart rate up nevertheless. The third routine mixes it up, with more boot camp style cardio, a 10-minute toning section and 10 minutes of drills that will leave you breathless. Your instructors — Dozois, Wheeler and York — may be familiar faces if you already use exercise DVDs on a regular basis. If they are new to you, know that they are some of the best fitness instructors around, with years of experience — and it shows. They've made sure these workouts are highly effective, and it will be tough, even for some intermediate exercisers, to make it all the way through a whole 30-minute routine. If you are an advanced exerciser with a boatload of endurance, you still probably won't need (or want) to add extra time and exercise, even if you normally work out for 45 minutes or an hour. You will be beat at the end of just one of these routines, and you'll feel great!
