(Natural Journeys)
2004
What is it?
A 20-minute Yoga routine, led by Sara Ivanhoe, which targets the buns and thighs.
Who is it for?
Advanced beginning Yoga enthusiasts — Ivanhoe doesn't give enough instruction for a total beginner (with just 20 minutes, there isn't really time). You will need a Yoga mat.
What to expect:
Sara Ivanhoe leads you through a series of Yoga poses, both standing and on the mat, to tone and stretch your legs and rear end. Most of these will be familiar to you — you'll find Triangle, Warrior, Camel and the like. You're also offered a balance challenge with Warrior III, and hip opening with Pigeon (watch Ivanhoe on this one instead of just listening — her cuing is a little off when she starts to lead you through this pose). While this isn't a particularly advanced Yoga session, you should have prior Yoga experience. Ivanhoe often offers helpful suggestions to get you into a pose, but she doesn't have the time to teach it to you from scratch. While 20 minutes of Yoga won't give you incredibly toned legs, it will nicely supplement a lower body workout program by adding flexibility and a bit of shaping.
