What is it?
Two flowing Power Yoga routines, one 55 minutes long, and a 30-minute “express” workout. Patricia Moreno instructs.
Who is it for?
Intermediate Yoga enthusiasts — it’s a little too tough for beginners, while advanced Yoga enthusiasts will probably find it a bit monotonous. You will need a mat.

What to expect:
Do marketing departments ever watch their exercise and Yoga DVDs? This one started off with the title Yoga Dance Fusion, but it must not have sold well because a year later, they re-released it as Cardio Burn Yoga. Either way, it’s a misnomer: there’s no dance and definitely no cardio in either of the Yoga routines on this DVD. That’s not to say that they aren’t worthwhile — these graceful Power Yoga workouts build strength, flexibility and stamina, even if they aren’t particularly dancey and don’t do much to raise your heart rate. Moreno leads you slowly through the longer routine, which she builds on gradually, adding move after move. The shorter routine is a little more vigorous and introduces the vinyasas in 10-minute segments before putting all the moves together at the end. Moreno’s cueing is a little off — it seemed like she couldn’t decide whether she was mirror-cueing or just cueing straightforward, so you occasionally get confused as to whether you’re supposed to move your right or left leg into lunges, etc. But if you’re mindful of your own workout, you should be able to remember which side needs to come next. So don’t expect either dance or cardio from these two workouts — just nice, intermediate Yoga vinyasas with a pleasant and positive instructor.
