What is it?
Two Yoga routines, each about 40 minutes long. The first one is entitled "The Joy of Yoga," and the second, somewhat more flowing segment is called "Fat Burning Yoga." Sara Ivanhoe is the instructor for both workouts.
Who is it for?
Beginning and advanced beginning Yoga enthusiasts. It's best if you're already familiar with Yoga, but both routines are easy enough for most beginners. You'll just need a sticky mat.
What to expect:
Here are two Yoga workouts that will fit into nearly anyone's exercise program. At about 40 minutes apiece, they aren't too long, nor are they too short (let's face it — those 10 and 20 minute routines just aren't enough Yoga). They're not so basic that they'll bore you if you already practice Yoga, but they aren't so difficult that you need to be a pretzel to do them. All you need is a sticky mat, so if you haven't invested in a load of props, this will come as a welcome relief. The first routine, "Joy of Yoga" is a flexibility session that contains classic poses, and the second routine, "Fat Burning Yoga," is more of a flowing, strength-building session, although nowhere near as intense as a Power Yoga session. Sara Ivanhoe's instruction is calming without being woo-woo, New Agey. Because the approach is more athletic and not spiritual, this routine will suit just about anybody with a little Yoga experience. Although both routines are a few years old, they're still goodies.
