Sacred Yoga Practice - Vinyasa Flow: Beginners |
Sacred Yoga Practice — Vinyasa Flow: Beginners(Natural Journeys) 2003 What is it? A 39-minute beginning Yoga routine featuring actress/ Yoga instructor Rainbeau Mars. Who is it for? Yoga beginners who like a little spirituality and a lot of time to get into their poses.
What to expect: The biggest fault with most Yoga flow routines is that your body barely has time to feel a posture's effect before the instructor has you moving into a different Asana. The Sacred Yoga series avoids this; instead you are invited to really slow down and appreciate each move, which gives your body a chance to relax and learn. In the Beginners routine, instructor Rainbeau Mars offers a thorough understanding of some basic Yoga postures, such as Cat-Cow, Downward Facing Dog, Cobra and lunges. In addition, Mars has an open, spiritual approach that will please those who understand that Yoga is much more than just a physical exercise. Because she spends so much time with each pose, you won't do as many Asanas as you probably would with other videos, but the richness of the experience and the beauty of the Maui scenery more than makes up for that. There is also a feature that shows a few postures on their own, separate from the routine itself; here you'll find a couple Asanas you didn't see in the program. This is a very good addition to the library of any beginning Yoga enthusiast. To Order the Sacred Yoga 4-volume box set on DVD or Video Other Yoga DVDs you may like:
